~FAQ~
Q1: Will I lose all of my stuff thats on my USB once I format it?
A: Yes. So it's important to make a backup of your USB if you decide to format it. That way when you don't want to use your USB for USB Loader any more you can reformat it to its original settings and add your stuff again.
Q2: Which USB Loader is the best?
A: It doesn't really matter which one you choose as long as it works for you. Some have the feature to use cheats. Others are more simple, and some even enable skinning.
Q3: Can you use an iPod for a USB?
A: Yep but you still have to format it.
Q4: When do you insert the USB?
A: Before you turn on your Wii or before you load the USB Loader from the homebrew channel. After you load a game, do not take it out. Leave it in until you are done playing.
Q5: What if it doesn't load my USB?
A: Remember to format it correctly. Also I've heard some people's Wii's have trouble reading the USB from one slot, so try the other USB slot.
Q6: What is cIOS?
A: cIOS means custom IOS. A custom IOS is used to make programs work better, and mimic firmware, since 3.2 is seen as the best for obvious reasons, its a way to get the perks of the higher firmware, and enables higher compatibility with homebrew games and applications.
Q7: Do I need cIOS for this?
A: Yes. Google "cIOS rev 21" and download it and install it on your wii.
★★!!!!!!!!!Q8: What Wii versions will this work on?!!!!!!!!★★
A: This will work on 4.1 or below. For 4.2/4.3 you need to restore the truchabug a.k.a, softmod your Wii. To find out how to do that go here:
4.2: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
4.3: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Q: How do I make seperate partitions on my external HD?
A: Try this tutorial: [You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]
Q: I have Wii 4.2/4.3 and have just installed homebrew...
If I follow all the steps from Trucha, do I need to install
anything else or could I just jump straight to this tutorial?
A: After you restore the trucha bug your Wii will work with most hacks. So yes you can jump straight to this tutorial.
